Manuel Escobedo Asume el Cargo de Director General de Patria Re
Tras la renuncia el pasado mes de diciembre de 2017 de Ingrid Carlou, Directora General de Patria Re en México, la reaseguradora ha confirmado, que Manuel Escobedo, actual Presidente de la reaseguradora, está asumiendo las funciones de Director General hasta que nombren a un sustituto.
Carlou ha estado al frente de la reaseguradora desde 2005 y como CEO desde 2012. Anteriormente, fue Gerente de Clientes de Converium, Gerente de Soluciones para Clientes de AXA Asia y también trabajó en AXA Corporate Solutions.
Durante su etapa al frente de la reaseguradora potenció el alcance de la reaseguradora más allá de América Latina para darle un perfil más internacional. Esto incluyó la formación de un sindicato de propósito especial (SPS) en Lloyd's, el cual fue hecho en conjunto con la Agencia Administradora de Pembroke de Ironshore. Con la formación de Patria Re SPS 6125, la reaseguradora se convirtió en la primera aseguradora mexicana en dirigir las líneas de negocios de especialidades latinoamericanas al mercado de Lloyd's.

Manuel Escobedo Assumes the Position of General Director of Patria Re
After the resignation last December of 2017 of Ingrid Carlou, General Director of Patria Re in Mexico, the reinsurer has confirmed that Manuel Escobedo, current President of the reinsurer, is assuming the functions of General Director until that they name a substitute.
Carlou has been the head of the reinsurer since 2005 and her CEO since 2012. Previously, she was Client Manager of Converium, Client Solutions Manager of AXA Asia and also worked at AXA Corporate Solutions.
During her time as the head of the reinsurer, she enhanced the scope of the reinsurer beyond Latin America to give the company a more international profile. This included the formation of a Special Purpose Union (SPS) at Lloyd's, which was done in conjunction with the Pembroke Management Agency of Ironshore. With the formation of Patria Re SPS 6125, the reinsurer became the first Mexican insurer to direct the Latin American specialty business lines to the Lloyd's market.
