Brasil: La industria de seguros tiene menos confianza, pero crece el optimismo en el sector reasegurador
El mercado asegurador cerró el primer trimestre del año con menos confianza. Así lo indica una encuesta realizada por Fenacor a fines de marzo para medir el grado de confianza que impera en el sector. Se escuchó a 100 ejecutivos, incluidos propietarios de grandes corredoras de seguros, aseguradoras y reaseguradoras. Según la encuesta, entre febrero y marzo, el índice de confianza del sector asegurador (ICSS) cayó de 116 a 112,3, el índice más bajo desde noviembre de 2020. Sin embargo, como el índice se mantuvo por encima de 100, la expectativa actual sigue siendo de relativa confianza en la dirección del mercado.
La caída más significativa se produjo en el Índice de Confianza de Grandes Corredores (ICGC), que pasó de 116,7 a 102,6 entre los dos períodos comparados. El Índice de Confianza y Expectativas en Seguros (ICES), por su parte, aumentó levemente, de 111,9 a 112. En contraste, el avance más significativo se registró en el Índice de Confianza y Expectativas de Reaseguro (ICER), que pasó de 119,4 a 123,3.

Brazil: The insurance industry is less confident, but optimism grows in the reinsurance sector
The insurance market closed the first quarter of the year with less confidence. This is indicated by a survey carried out by Fenacor at the end of March to measure the degree of confidence that prevails in the sector. 100 executives were heard, including owners of large insurance brokers, insurers and reinsurers. According to the survey, between February and March, the insurance sector confidence index (ICSS) fell from 116 to 112.3, the lowest index since November 2020. However, as the index remained above 100, the current expectation remains one of relative confidence in the direction of the market.
The most significant drop occurred in the Large Brokers Confidence Index (ICGC), which went from 116.7 to 102.6 between the two periods compared. The Insurance Confidence and Expectations Index (ICES), for its part, increased slightly, from 111.9 to 112. In contrast, the most significant advance was recorded in the Reinsurance Confidence and Expectations Index (ICER), which passed from 119.4 to 123.3.
