Paulo Hayakawa, Nuevo Director Técnico de P&C, Garantía y Reaseguro de Sompo Seguros

Sompo Seguros S.A., empresa perteneciente al Grupo Sompo Holdings, uno de los mayores grupos aseguradores del mundo, contrató a Paulo Hayakawa como nuevo Director Técnico responsable de las áreas de Grandes P&C, Garantía y Reaseguro. El ejecutivo llega a la empresa con el desafío de integrar las estrategias de la empresa para el desarrollo de negocios en las áreas bajo su supervisión, además de actuar en el establecimiento de programas de reaseguro adecuados al momento actual de la aseguradora, que busca incrementar el alcance y participación de mercado en sus diferentes líneas de negocio.

Paulo Hayakawa tiene más de 30 años de experiencia en el mercado de seguros, de los cuales casi 20 años fueron en las dos empresas que dieron origen a la marca Sompo Seguros en Brasil. Ahora es responsable de supervisar las estrategias de reaseguro, así como del área de Grandes P&C y Garantía, que incluye áreas como Riesgos Nombrados y Operacionales, Riesgos de Ingeniería, Interrupción de Negocio, Integral (con un Límite Máximo de Garantía superior a R$ 50 millones), Responsabilidad Civil General, Garantía, Garantía de Arrendamiento y Vehículo Integral. “Tuve la oportunidad de conocer la cultura, desarrollar mis conocimientos y contribuir al crecimiento de ambas empresas que dieron origen a la marca Sompo Seguros hace años. Estoy feliz de volver al grupo para contribuir a esta nueva etapa en la que Sompo apunta a un crecimiento significativo de sus líneas de negocio en los próximos años”, consideró el ejecutivo.

Paulo Hayakawa, director técnico de Grandes P&C, Garantía y Reaseguro de Sompo Seguros, es Ingeniero Civil (Universidad Estadual de Campinas) y posgrado en Administración de Empresas – Máster en Seguros (IAG/PUC-RJ). Tiene más de 30 años de experiencia en el mercado de seguros y reaseguros, con experiencia en las áreas de Suscripción de Riesgos, Reaseguro y Planificación de Procesos en aseguradoras y reaseguradoras nacionales y extranjeras. Entre ellos, cabe mencionar que trabajó durante casi 16 años en Yasuda Seguros y otros 4 años en Marítima Seguros, ambas empresas que darían origen a la marca Sompo Seguros en Brasil. También participó en proyectos de expansión de empresas a países de América Latina y en Comités Técnicos de Asociaciones de Compañías Aseguradoras y Reaseguradoras, además de impartir cursos en el mercado asegurador y reasegurador.

Sompo Seguros S.A., a company belonging to the Sompo Holdings Group, one of the largest insurance groups in the world, hired Paulo Hayakawa as the new Technical Director responsible for the Large P&C, Guarantee and Reinsurance areas. The executive comes to the company with the challenge of integrating the strategies of the company for the development of business in the areas under his supervision, in addition to acting in the establishment of reinsurance programs appropriate to the current moment of the insurer, which seeks to increase the scope and market share in its different lines of business.

Paulo Hayakawa has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance market, of which almost 20 years were in the two companies that gave rise to the Sompo Seguros brand in Brazil. Now he is responsible for supervising reinsurance strategies, as well as the Large P&C and Guarantee area, which includes areas such as Named and Operational Risks, Engineering Risks, Business Interruption, Comprehensive (with a Maximum Guarantee Limit greater than R$ 50 million), General Civil Liability, Warranty, Lease Guarantee and Comprehensive Vehicle. “I had the opportunity to get to know the culture, develop my knowledge and contribute to the growth of both companies that gave rise to the Sompo Seguros brand years ago. I am happy to return to the group to contribute to this new stage in which Sompo points to a significant growth of its business lines in the coming years”, the executive considered.

Paulo Hayakawa, technical director of Large P&C, Guarantee and Reinsurance at Sompo Seguros, is a Civil Engineer (State University of Campinas) and postgraduate in Business Administration - Master in Insurance (IAG/PUC-RJ). He has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance market, with experience in the areas of Risk Underwriting, Reinsurance and Process Planning in national and foreign insurers and reinsurers. Among them, it is worth mentioning that he worked for almost 16 years at Yasuda Seguros and another 4 years at Marítima Seguros, both companies that would give rise to the Sompo Seguros brand in Brazil. He also participated in company expansion projects to Latin American countries and in Technical Committees of Associations of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies, in addition to teaching courses in the insurance and reinsurance market.
